Typical osteopathic treatment involves firstly taking a detailed case history including information about the onset and progression of symptoms and medical history. The osteopath will then perform a physical examination before progressing to treatment where appropriate. The osteopath will personalise their treatment techniques to suit each individual. These may include soft-tissue massage, joint mobilisation, muscle energy techniques and joint manipulation. At OsteoFirst our osteopath also has training in medical acupuncture and may incorporate this into treatment where appropriate if you choose to consent to this.
